Holland wins the Challenge Vercoutere wire to wire
Spa. Perfect conditions enabled yet another great series of Matches. Belgium was leading 2-1 after the morning Foursomes but were soon put in hot persuit of a very determined Dutch Team under the first captaincy of veteran Jan Dorrestein.
Belgian Captain Michel Vanmeerbeek had a big job on his hands after losing the first 2 singles. And being 2-4 down at one stage, his team fought back bringing it level to 4-4 with the last team being decisive.
Seasoned players Nicolas Vanhootegem and Joost Steenkamer had a very close battle with Joost leading at the turn 1 up. But as the holes passed by he hold on to his lead to finally win 3/1.
Well done to both teams who have made a new appointment for 2011!
